Scandpower has concluded an agreement with Keppel FELS in Singapore of delivering HSE studies for a semi submersible accommodation and multi-service Vessel. The budget for the project is approximately NOK 7 mill. Most of the work will be performed from August until December this year.
The work includes analysis and studies needed to fulfil requirements in relevant NMD and PSA regulations, including risk analysis, working environment studies, HAZOP’s and FMEA’s and more.
The rig is based on a DSS20NS DP-3 design developed in cooperation between Keppel FELS and Marine Structure Consultants. The accommodation capacity will be 440 single bed cabins and office facilities for client use.
Keppel FELS will start cutting steel in October this year and the rig shall be finished in 2010. Owner of the rig is Floatel International, a Swedish company located in Gothenburg.
