Requirements and Processes

Based on each organization’s individual needs, Scandpower assists in defining verification and audit requirements. Such requirements will normally identify verification subjects like applications, specifications, design solutions, contracts, operations, reports, and/or organizational and management systems.

Scandpower also assist in development and implementation of verification and audit processes.

Gap Analysis

When an organization is subjected to new requirements or policies, a gap analysis will identify the difference between current capabilities/practices and the new situation. Scandpower performs gap analysis when an organization is exposed to challenges like new regulatory requirements, change of polices, contractual requirements, new standards or adherence to “best practice”. The gap analysis report will be the main tool for improvements to meet the challenge in a systematic and efficient way.

Design Verifications

Scandpower performs different types of design verifications to ensure compliance with functional, HSE and reliability requirements. We use internationally recognised methods like HAZID, HAZOP, SAFOP, design review, FMECA, etc.

During the past 22 years Scandpower has performed more than 550 HAZOP/SAFOP studies for clients within various industries.

Verification of Operation and Maintenance

Operation and maintenance activities are verified through a combination of document review, interviews and practical observations.

Results of such verifications give our clients an independent and objective fundament for specific and effective improvement programmes.

Audits

All requirements need supervision and follow-up to ensure that they are complied with and continuously maintained. Scandpower performs system and subject audits to verify that there are efficient management systems in place to handle actual requirements.

Scandpower performs independent review and verification of reports and analyses within all areas of HSE, quality and reliability.

Follow-up of Findings and Observations

Follow-up is essential to ensure that results from verifications and audits are implemented and maintained. Scandpower’s software program SAFU (Safety Follow-Up) is tailor-made to follow up such findings and observations.
